my beau and me were talking in the kitchen before.
"wow, that neon light really washes out the color of your hair." i mused.
"that's not the light. i dyed my hair blond. like two days ago." he said and went into the bedroom, slamming the door.
ouch.
oh! and i copied this hp fandom meme from
schemingreader!
01. the first character i fell in love with:
draco malfoy. i felt so sorry for him when he offered his hand to harry and he didn't take it.
02. the character i never expected to love as much as i do now:
harry potter. i thought him righteous. my dislike grew until i wished him actually dead but in the last third of the last book he redeemed himself in my eyes.
03. the character (most) everyone else loves that i don't:
the weasley-twins. why? i just don't like (male) redheads.
04. the character i love that everyone else hates:
tobias snape. oh, and peter pettigrew.
05. the character i used to love but don't any longer:
i don't dislike hermione per se but i disliked how jkr wrote her. i was disappointed how her character turned out in the last books, and i did not understand the dynamic of her and ron's relationship.
06. the character i would shag anytime:
i love severus snape, naturellement, so anytime.
i don't find lucius very fascinating as a character but i'd take him any day. - with his hair and his attitude he reminds me of a big persian cat.
and bellatrix - she's mad, but helena bonham carter's bellatrix is quite sexy.
07. the character i want to be like:
kingsley shacklebolt - he works in influential positions in both worlds yet remains modest. he is brave and can be a warrior but i think he is a good strategist, too. he is the only one who has the potential to become a second dumbledore. at least the shacklebolt of my imagination is.
08. the character i'd slap:
harry, actually. quite often.
09. a pairing that I love:
there are the obvious ones - severus/harry, severus/remus, etc.
ah but there's one i love for the sheer
wrongness of it: tobias snape/severus snape (acutally i have never read anything with this pairing but one or two stories are spinning in my head ...)
for het: draco and ginny (they have the potential to destroy each other, something that makes every pairing interesting.)
femmes: movie!bella and canon!narcissa (well, because they're sisters ... )
10. two pairings that i hate:
ron/hermione - i just don't understand how these two characters fall in love with each other. after finishing the books i had the clear impression neither did the author.
remus/sirius - strangely i find remus who i find very sexy when paired with severus unbearable when paired with sirius (except it's a menage a trois)
there are some others, but with most pairings it depends on the genre and on the writer.
11. favourite character:
sorry to be obvious about it but - severus snape: i am not sure what to do with
renaissance man snape but i love the dirty working class kid from the north, the miner's son. apart from that - remus lupin. not because i "like" him but i think he's an enigma, very complex and ultimately a dark creature. he's also an excellent contrast to severus snape.
12. my six favourite characters:
sirius black, lucius malfoy, bellatrix lestrange, tom riddle, fenrir greyback.
i know not many like sirius but he's a bit like that dark, sad nick cave ballad to me.
i like lucius solely because of the pretty actor in the movies. (i love feline men like alain delon or the young david bowie)
tom riddle is simply fascinating as a character. i see him more like a r.a.f. terrorist - someone who must have possessed incredible charisma and strength. and greyback because he is unapologetic and embraces the beast - the werewolf.
13. my five least favourite characters:
dolores umbridge, cornelius fudge, alastor moody, aunt petunia, vernon dursley, dudley dursley.
they all belong or submit to a system - the establishment if you like, and they are mediocre and they stand for everything we should fight within ourselves: hypocrisy, cowardice, righteousness, corruption, laziness,
14. which character i am most like:
dudley dursley.
15. my deep, dark fandom secret:
i was a slasher by the age of ten. i just didn't know it: i had a crush on a boy in my class and paired him in my fantasies with another boy. in fact i went through my whole life - 37 years - being embarrassed about my fantasies and thinking it's just
me. i can't tell you how relieved i am that it's NOT just me!
